Our newest addition!

Introducing Magdalena Luz Bond!

Our sweet baby girl was born last week and we are all so completely in love.  She had a bit of a dramatic entrance to the world.  I went into labor around 5pm and by 10pm we were headed to the hospital.  My contractions were quite intense so I was very disappointed to find out I was only 4cm 0n arrival.  After sitting in triage for two hours, I was sent home because no one really believed I was in labor.  I thought, for "not being in labor," these sure were exceedingly painful contractions.  My contractions continued to increase in intensity and frequency, so by 2am, I couldn't take it any more.  I told David that he had to take me back to the hospital or we were going to have this baby at home.  So at 2:30, I was back in triage.  The nurse (a different one) took one look at me and knew this was the real thing.  I was admitted at 7cm and things moved very quickly from there.  Less than 4 hrs after I was discharged, at 3:55am, I was holding our beautiful daughter in my arms!

Last baby bump picture - I was 39 weeks.

8lbs 4 oz, 20.75 in long (smallest baby yet!)

David holding Magdalena for the first time. He was an amazing support through this very intense labor.

Her older siblings came to visit.  Eliana was so excited and wanted to hold her and kiss her.

William was mostly excited about the dinner I was eating and the snacks at my bedside.  On the second day when he came to visit, he came running in my room and shouted, "I want popcorn!" Sorry bud, you ate it all yesterday.

He loves her.

Me too.

Ready for discharge.
Going home! She even smiled about that!
