Well Child check-ups

This week we saw the pediatrician for Eliana's 4 year old visit and William's 18 month visit.  William had actually been to see the ped just on Monday and was diagnosed with a very bad double ear infection.  The poor thing cried all day and night, had goo coming out of his eyes, and had a high fever.  Why does this always happen on the weekend?  But now he is on antibiotics now and feeling much better, and thankfully sleeping much better as well.  So our doctor said as long as he wasn't running a fever, we could come back on Thursday for his well visit.

Both kids looked great and William's ears already looked much better.  Eliana was 41.25 in tall - 80th percentile.  She had grown almost 4 inches in the last year.  I knew she was growing! I can barely keep her in pants, she grows so fast.  She looks like she is wearing crop pants all the time because she is growing so much.  Dr. Ferguson was impressed with how much she had grown and said she is going to be tall.  Eliana responded that she is going to be taller than her daddy one day.  She tells me all the time that she is going to be taller than me, which I totally believe.  William was 32.5in tall - 45th percentile.  (I stretched him as far as I could get his little neck to go haha).  David says he thinks William is going to be shorter than Eliana.  But I just looked back at Eliana's records, and she was only 32 in tall at 18 months, which was 50th percentile for girls.  So maybe not.  Both kids were healthy and meeting all their milestones, and both got shots.  Eliana did amazingly well, perhaps because I told her if she was brave, we could go to Chick-fil-a for lunch and have an ice cream treat.  So while William cried with his shots, Eliana did not.  Both kids got to have ice cream though :)

Ready for the day

William recently discovered that he likes hot chocolate.

Eliana, however, has known that it is good for a quite some time now.  When Dr. Ferguson asked if Eliana drank milk, I said she will if it is hot and has chocolate in it.
