Doctor's appointment

Just a quick update for those who would like to know --
Eliana had her appointment with Dr. Samora, the orthopedic specialist today.  We were referred to the specialist by Eliana's pediatrician because she rolls her feet in when she walks.  After checking her out, Dr Samora said that Eliana's foot pronation is due to her flat feet and very loose ligaments.  She has hyper ligamentous laxis, which is medical speak for very loose ligaments.  The doctor had her bend and flex in all kinds of crazy ways which I didn't realize that Eliana could do.  She can touch her thumb to her wrist, which is a classic sign of the hyper ligamentous laxis.  So basically he said that her joints are loose and as long as she has no pain, there is nothing that needs to be done.  We can just watch and wait to see if it ever causes any problems.  Eliana must just take after her very flexible Godmother Rebecca, who is famous for being able to put her feet behind her head in a pretzel like maneuver.  So praise God for a happy and healthy little girl!
